His work has been published and has earned awards from the advertising, design and video industries.
Steven Martin : Creative Director • Designer
Steven is responsible for new business development that has resulted in an impressive array of varied clients nationwide, including Edwards Lifesciences, Fluor, Beckman Coulter and Bausch & Lomb. His primary focus is developing thematic and design approaches to projects and overseeing their design development.
Mike Smith : Writing • Video Production
Mike parlayed his passion for ideas into copywriting and creative director positions at ad agencies in New York
and Southern California. Over the past 25 years, he's written and produced over 600 TV spots, radio commercials, corporate videos and Web content for a variety of national, regional and local clients.
Karen Jones : Director of Client Services
Karen has extensive knowledge in developing integrated campaigns including print, broadcast and digital for
a variety of B2B and DTC/DTP clients. In-depth experience in women’s health, cardiovascular, orthopedics, aesthetics and diagnostics, working with companies ranging in size from new ventures to Fortune 500 is what makes her presence at GZD vital.

When it comes to solving communication challenges, Pia is the go-to person. Designing smart creative that helps clients prosper is at the heart of her ambition. With years of experience in the hospitality industry, she is a specialist in restaurant marketing, communications and branding.
Jeff Barton : Marketing Services • Design
For more than 25 years, Jeff has been helping food and beverage companies painlessly launch their brands from conception to shelf. Capturing the big picture, developing brand stories that propel the client’s business objectives and quickly identifying relevant, creative solutions are all part of Jeff’s DNA.
Scott Marsh : Art Director/Designer
Scott has over 30 years experience in multi-channel marketing for consumer and B2B clients. He brings particularly deep experience in design for healthcare and medical device marketing. A graduate of The Columbus College of Art & Design, Scott lends his hand to the GZD creative team in branding projects for medical device companies.
Diana Zdenek : Senior Account Manager
With over 20 years of senior project management experience, Diana ensures each project is delivered on time and within budget. Whether it be print or interactive, Diana stays on top of each phase of a project and is responsible for maintaining close communication with our clients for updates and job status. At GZD, she is our liaison between our clients and the creative department.

East Coast native and California local, Daniel has been a working as a professional photographer in the LA area
for over 20 years. He shows great care in his approach to our clients specific needs and invests in their success. His pictures truly do tell a story, which make him a valuable asset here at GZD.
Allen Ashton : Marketing Strategy
Allen has served as a strategic consultant to local and national non-profit and for-profit companies in a wide range of sectors. Allen has owned and operated a downtown San Francisco-based design firm since 1997. He focuses on building integrated partnerships with clients to address, refine and implement their brand strategy.
